Sergey Vasilievich Antipov
Born in 1958 in Moscow, Sergey Vasilievich Antipov is a renowned Russian painter celebrated for his detailed and atmospheric landscapes. He graduated from the Correspondence People’s University of Arts (ZNUI), where he specialized in painting. A dedicated plein air artist, Antipov’s work captures the subtle nuances of natural light and the essence of the Russian environment with remarkable detail and emotional depth.

Antipov is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia (TLC) and continues to live and work in Moscow. His paintings often depict everyday scenes imbued with a profound sense of place, exemplified by works such as Outside the Kitchen (1971), which is part of the Surikov Foundation’s collection.

His art has been featured in notable exhibitions, including Life in the Twentieth Century Russian Painting (2016) and RUSSIA S.XX (2015) at the Surikov Foundation. Antipov’s works are also included in prominent collections like Dolores Tomás’s 20th Century Russian Painting Collection.
